Its Traditional, individually hand‑tied coil sprung seat — complete with a sprung edge — gives a gentle, responsive softness the moment you sit down, while the hand‑tied sprung back and sprung arms create a supportive frame designed to keep its shape and comfort for decades.

The feather‑and‑down seat and back cushions add that unmistakable sink‑in softness. They do require plumping — but that’s the trade‑off for the kind of comfort only natural fillings can give. Prefer something different underneath do you? Many alternative cushion fillings are available, from completely Natural materials to No Effort, No Plumping comfy foam.

Every Coulson Sofa is handmade to order, so every detail can be bespoke — deeper seat, higher back, wider arms, or a size tailored to a precise alcove. Like a Savile Row suit, it’s made to fit you.

The legs are hand‑turned solid mahogany, giving the Coulson its warm, classic character — and because everything we make is bespoke, other woods and finishes are available too.
